Le Bain – Meatpacking District

There is scarcely a nightlife regular in New York City who cannot attest to the sumptuous atmosphere of the club/lounge/discotheque that sits atop the Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking district. Le Bain NYC is everything a nightclub should be; a beautiful space, a delicious cocktail and champagne menu, a famed house DJ, and a trendy, confident crowd.

Fog sets the mood and beckons you inside the doors, where are you greeted by a booming dance floor, a chic lounge area with couches and tables, and a uniformed array of bartenders ready to pour you a dangerous concoction, or top off that champagne glass. And let’s not forget- a disco ball. Le Bain is particularly intriguing in the spring and summer months, when the pool is open, and a dip in the cool water is an inviting prospect for the more adventurous among us. Not to worry if you forget your suit- vending machines in the bathroom sell them for a quick $80.

Perhaps the most memorable element of all, and there are many, is the breathtaking view through the high-rise windows, which spans downtown Manhattan and the Hudson River. The city that never sleeps looks even more beautiful from the spacious rooftop on the 18th floor, complete with a creperie for the late-night munchies. It is no wonder Le Bain is able to boast regular attendance from pop culture VIPs- this club is sure to leave party goers sated and planning their return.

Make sure to dress the part- the busier nights can see the less savvy waiting in the lengthy line outside.
